If you've ever played Super Mario 64, then you probably remember the never ending staircase. No matter how far you climbed the stairs, you'd still be at the bottom. Also, the music kept looping, even though the pitch got higher and higher. Well, here's that musical illusion again.

HAHA that's cool. It sounds like it's getting higher and higher, because the beginning IS higher, in relation to the end. But, it seems to my ear that in the *middle*, the part the listener is not paying strict attention to, the tone drops, and begins rising again, just not as high as the beginning. So, when it's replayed, the beginning yet again sounds higher... that's clever.
